We're delighted to be launching our recruitment for someone to join the Contingent Management Team as our Food House Team Lead!

This is a really exciting role right at the heart of the Jamboree. If you love sustainability, have an eye for operations, and want to work to create an unforgettable Jamboree experience, then this could be for you. The Food House will combine programme, menu planning, logistics, and the Team Lead will have the opportunity to make it their own

The Food House Team Lead is responsible for the full planning, delivery, and operational management of Scouting Ireland’s Food House at the 2027 World Scout Jamboree. This role ensures that the Food House operates safely, efficiently, and within budget, while providing a high‑quality cultural and culinary experience reflective of Scouting Ireland.

We last ran a Food House at the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden, 2011, and the pictures show what a roaring success it was

A core focus of this position is strong financial stewardship, risk management, and adherence to governance standards, ensuring the Food House remains compliant, sustainable, and resilient throughout the Jamboree lifecycle.

This is a voluntary position with the role holder expected to be in place from May 2026 – October 2027 to allow for proper planning before, and review after the Jamboree event. The Team Lead will join the Contingent Management Team and attend meetings as required. Due to the nature of the event, applicants must be 18 or older on the event (born on or before 30 July 2009).
